Malaysia offers everyone something. For the traveler, there are scenic landscapes that range from rustic villages to cool hill resorts (such as Cameron Highlands, sprinkled with colonial buildings, and laden with fruits and vegetables) to a plethora of islands from Langkawi to Redang, known worldwide among scuba-diving enthusiasts and island lovers. To the traveler who tends toward the modern lifestyle, visit eye-catching architectural sensations such as the Petronas Twin Towers, one of the world’s tallest buildings, and the Kuala Lumpur International (KLIA), one of the most advanced airports in the Asia-Pacific region. KLIA, a blend of futuristic architecture and clear cultural elements within a garden concept, is located south of Kuala Lumpur. The KLIA Express speeds travelers from the international airport to the city of Kuala Lumpur, one of only six cities in the world that offers express train services plying the airport-to-city route.

For the investor, working in Malaysia is relatively easy as it is one of the most developed countries in the ASEAN region. Malaysia is host to the Multimedia Super Corridor, the world’s longest technology corridor, a vibrant ICT hub hosting more than 900 multinational, foreign and local Malaysian companies that test the limits of technology. The country’s administrative capital, Putrajaya, is one of the world’s first “smart city” which runs on an e-platform.

Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur is a “Garden City of Lights” that bustles with energy. As a capital city spanning almost 243.6 sq km, KL – as it is fondly known – is the nerve centre of the country with almost 2 million “KL-ites” calling it home. This modern metropolis offers an endless shopping paradise, glorious arrays of food and “happening” nightlife set to enthrall even the most seasoned of travelers. One thing is assured: there is never a boring moment in KL. Like the world's major commercial hubs, KL boasts a fine choice in dining and entertainment. Dance clubs, al-fresco dining, an amazing selection of coffee bars and sidewalk cafes, all contribute to the bustling nightlife that roars until the wee hours of the morning. Getting around is a breeze since KL has a well-connected transportation network. There is a choice of PUTRA/STAR train systems, monorail, taxis and buses.
